Day 36 Full Moon Party

Once in a lifetime party—The Full Moon Party.

The Full Moon Party is an all-night beach party that originated in Haad Rin on Koh PhaNganThailand on every full moon day. There is not only Full Moon Party, but also Half Moon Party, Black Moon Party...... In fact, there are parties every night on Koh PhanNgan. They party everyday no matter it is full moon or not.

So, now we are in Thailand, there's no way we're gonna miss this party!

We were on the night bus to Koh PhaNgan. It takes us twelve to thirteen hours to get to the city Surattani.

We arrived Suratthani (If i'm not wrong). From here, we took a ferry to Koh PhaNgan. It takes about three hours to get there.

An interesting sign on the ferry——Please leave a garbage bin.

The color of sky was just amazing. I had no more words to describe it. The beauty of the mother nature always makes me speechless!

Look at the mountains. They look so unreal, even if they were just being right there in front of you.

Thailand flag and the ocean.

Simon and I chillin on the ferry.

After three hours boat trip, we were finally here at Koh PhaNgan!

The view from our bungalow.

When the night came......

We drank some alcohol before going to the party.

Let the night begin...... :D

You can find lots of neon paintings on the street.

It's also easy to get the colours from street vendors, you can either paint it with friends or by yourself.

There are loads of people selling buckets. You can get them EVERYWHERE.

We sat in a restaurant to have dinner. After that, we started to paint. This is definitely one of the fun parts at Full Moon Party!

Lena and Carina.

Helen and Tanja.

Simon asked me to draw eyes on his eyes. This is how it looked...... SO CREEPY.

Lena's painting on Jacky's leg.

Every time when they speak German and mention about my name, I always ask "Jamie What?". That's why JAMIE WHAT painting was on my chest!

Simon was drawing a Taiwanese flag for me. Well, I was so worried what kind of flag it would turn out to be...

But...... it was a beautiful Taiwanese flag and I love it.

You can buy various kind of full moon party shirts on the street.

We can not party without bucket!

After a while, some people were drunk, some wanted to go to another stage. So we seperated. Me and Tanja went to different stages dance, dance and dance.

Tanja and I.

It was so darn crowded on the stage. You couldn't even move sometimes. Moreover, there were a lot of drunken people and also people who took drugs, they didn't even know what they were doing, acting really weird and kept spilling their drinks! But anyways, we just ignored them and still danced crazily like we always do.

Group photo time!
BUT hey you! The random guy on the right, you photobombed our picture!

I had a great night and crazy experience at Full Moon Party. Even though there were way too many drunken folks, people doing drugs, making out everywhere and peeing at the beach, I still had a lot of fun. It was absolutely an awesome once in a lifetime experience.

If you would like to visit the islands in south of Thailand, don't miss the full moon party at Koh PhaNgan. You can check the schedule out here on the site. ➜ The schedule of Full Moon Party 2013-2015.
