Bayan Wild Hot Springs

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. —Albert Einstein

Sunny Saturday morning, we drove up to Yangmingshan with a surf board because Urda wanted to go surfing at Jinshan 金山. The weather was awesome in the city. However, when we went up to the mountain, it started to get colder and we found that we were in the cloud. It was beautiful, but COLD!

We're driving in the cloud!

Urda went surfing for a while, then we met Daniel to go on the little adventure!

Bayan Wild Hot Springs in Yangmingshan 八煙野溪溫泉
The hot springs is not easily accessible, but not easily accessible doesn't mean inaccessible. Thanks to Daniel, who brought us there!!

We got there by scooter. Once you're on the main road outside the Bayan Hot Springs Resort, take the road down to the resort. Don't turn right. You'll see another trail head right in front of you. There's a small area where you can park.

From there, go down the trail and keep walking alongside the river. After you've crossed the stream, follow the trail uphill. Then you'll see a warning sign threaten trespassers to pay the NT$15. 000 fine.

Continue walking and you're there!

The tiny waterfall we've found behind the bush.

On our right side behind the bush, it's a river.

It's the WATERFALL! We made it!

"I don't want to die in a car accident. When I die, it'll be a glorious day. It'll probably be a waterfall."

Just having a little bit fun in the water!

Oooops, we found a dead body!

Daniel is meditating in the hot spring...... :D

We did not stay long because Urda had to get back to Taipei. We had a great time here! Switching from cold water and hot water made us feel so refreshing afterwards. Plus, it was so nice to find a secret (actually not that secret) natural little spot. I love doing these little adventurous trips to somewhere I don't know. We didn't expect that we would end up going to the hot springs.

On our way back to Taipei, we saw Cherry blossoms at Yangmingshan. Actually, it grew almost everywhere in the mountain.

It was a fun trip with Urda and Dan! Except the super duper cold weather, everything was perfect. I hope we could go on another adventure very soon!

Byee!
