Day 65 (2) Maeklong Railway Market

Seeing a train that's inches from our faces, pass through the market does amaze us.

Maeklong Railway Market, located in Samut Songkhram, Thailand, around 37 miles west of Bangkok. As the name Maeklong Railway Market suggests, it is centered around the rail tracks.

There are various kinds of food and fruits such as seafood, vegetables, meat, snacksclothes and accessories. It is a very popular market for locals and is open everyday to supply everyone's needs.

What makes the market special and exciting is that a train will drive through the market. As soon as the signals of the arrival of the train, everything stops. When a train approaches, the shoppers have to get out of the tracks, the vendors immediately move their stuff away and move back after the train has passed just like nothing has happened.

I would like to know what kind of fruit this is.

 ⬆︎Roast frog!
⬆︎ Red and green chili
 ⬆︎Dry chili
They have super cheap apples for only $5B-$10B each. I bought some for sure.

There were so many people passing through the market. We wait and wait and wait...... It took us a while to shoot the photo.

Picture of us after drinking Chai Yen (Thai tea), our tongues turned super orange.

While waiting for the train, we walked to the end of the railroad to take a rest.

Zoe tried many times to make her face look normal. She tried twice, she made it finally!

We saw this woman selling blue flower and it's eatable! Unbelievable!!

She noticed that we are curious about what it tastes like, so she gave us some flowers to try.

Have you ever seen or heard of Sea Coconut?! It is my first time seeing this special fruit. It tastes just like a coconut. :P

We took a picture in the market together after the train passed.
(I will upload the video of train passing through the market real soon.)

What a great day!
Now, we are on the way to the next stop, Amphawa Floating Market!

To be continued......
